Advisors are the key to bringing out the best in their students through Model UN. But this is often difficult with the busy schedules of being a teacher and with little to no experience doing Model UN prior to becoming an advisor.
Best Delegate has trained hundreds of novice and veteran advisors throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia through our professional development programs for faculty advisors. Now, we will introduce this program to BDMUNC!
Advisor Professional Development
All Faculty Advisors at BDMUNC will be able to attend our Advisor Training Institute, a professional development program taking place throughout days two and three of the conference while your delegates are in committee. The curriculum will cover:
What is Model UN and why do my students do it?
How can I prepare my students with the research, public speaking, negotiation, and resolution writing skills they need for Model UN?
What resources are there to help teach Model UN to new delegates, or make Model UN part of our curriculum at school?
How can I help our club set goals, run efficient meetings, and build a sustainable program led by student leaders?
All advisors of registered delegations will be given key training materials to prepare delegates for the conference, including an optional training curriculum to use with your Model UN club as a step-by-step process to prepare for this or any other conference.
The Best Delegate team will also be available via email to address any questions you have as you prepare your team.
